The Artist...

Wildlife artist Brian Buckley resides in Kanona, a small rural town of Steuben County in the heart of the New York Finger Lakes region. Growing up in this area with its lakes, hills, countrysides, and a wide spectrum of local wildlife influences his work. Brian realized at a young age his great love for his outdoor surroundings and a talent to bring his feelings alive through his oils on canvas. Brian wants his artwork of natual settings and wildlife to be shared and viewed widely to help preserve our natual resources for future generations.

Background...

Brian's career has been in both conservation and wildlife artistry. He has done studies in fish, wildlife and natural resources at the Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, New York. Brian is employed by New York State's Department of Environmental Conservation with their Fish Propagation Program. His artwork is found throughout New York State's Environmental Conservation regional offices, Fish Hatcheries, and in the fish tank display murals at the New York State Fair in Syracuse, New York. His artwork has been featured at Ducks Unlimited banquets and other conservational events, and has been seen on the network television show NBC Dateline. Personal interviews have also been conducted with regional broadcasting stations on Time Warner networks and WOKR Newsource 13 Rochester. Brian's River Otter reprographic prints can be found in zoo's, aquariums MJDESIGNS Stores and other numerours businesses throughout New York State.
