Campbell is located in the Conhocton river valley at exit 41 on route 17, I - 86 of the southern tier expressway. The Town of Campbell was formed from Hornsby, April 15, 1831 and was named for Reverend Robert Campbell and his son, Minor, early and prominent settlers, who had purchased 1,000 acres in 1801.
